I have.  It is basically a summary of philosohphical thoughts through out the age in a summary embedded in a fiction.

My daughter loved to read Sophie's World when she was about 15 to 16 years old, about the same age as the main character of the book, Sophie Amundse.

Whether it suits adult readers depends very much on the taste of the readers.
