Look, I agree with children trying "dangerous" thing too.  But I also believe in trying them in a safe environment.  Consider the fact that the guy is only suggesting kids to test drive on an empty parking lot, play with fire under supervision, play with swiss knife under supervision, de-construct household appliances under supervision, etc...

In term of sex, I tend to believe the same.  Trial with protection of guidance.

Here is perhaps where we may differ,

If I am unable to find a safe environment for the kids to play with fire, I would not let them play.  

Similiar, if I cannot find a safe place for them to drive, I am not going to let kids drive at the busiest joint down town.

If the school is unable to teach kids about sex, I would prefer to delay it as long as it is reasonable.  (or at least place a restriction on it)
