通識沙龍2010-11：「寫給當代的經典」
GE Salon 2010-11: Classics for Today
由2012年起，中文大學將推出一年級學生必修的「通識基礎課程」，讓同學循閱讀經典的門徑，與人文對話，探索美好人生與理想社會，與自然對話，走進科學與知識的世界。課程已適用於2010年起的中六入學生。
為配合課程發展，推動校內外閱讀經典的風氣，本學年通識沙龍繼續以「寫給當代的經典」為題，邀得專家學者主講，透過中西人文與科學經典，探討人類社會歷久常新的大問題，反思現代人生與現代社會的境況。誠邀各位師生校友參加各次沙龍講座，一同體味經典世界的廣遠豐姿。

This talk discusses the historical position of the Bible, reviews its impact as a sacred document, as well as literature.

- 二千年來 (生命轉化；對西方文明的影響)
- 18至19世紀 (開始對東方亦有影響)
- 20至21世紀 (後二次大戰：從宣教轉移到對話)
