Rather, it is "History is intepreted by the survivors."  (You only need to be fit to survive, there is no need to be the victor.  Luxemburg will have its own history of Germany whether or not it is the victor as long as it survives.)

二戰後的英國 其實已被日德打殘 莫說無力照顧殖民地 就連自己國內居民 生活物資都要靠配給來供應 大概就由當時開始 曾經雄霸世界的大帝國 就靠拉住山姆叔叔的衫尾 來維持住大國的體面

新中國成立後 結束了軍隊派別林立的年代 全國軍隊的號令權 有效地由中央控制  加上蘇聯的武備  軍力可說是快速增長的 不信且看這嬰孩期的國家 能與美國在朝鮮打個平手就會明白  

英美早在扺抗法西斯時期 已跟中國政府達成拹議 放棄一切因不平等條約 而擁有的在華特權及土地  日本投降後 英國佬搶先新一軍  派軍艦接管香港  其實是博幪的 蔣介石一方面為免與這個 英人反骨仔盟友觸發衝突 另方面要保留收回香港主權之理據  於是以中國戰區統帥身份  向英軍下達軍令 令他們派兵接管香港 並解除日軍武裝    這道命令看似可笑 其實意義深長 當年英軍並無反對此命令 所以從法理{國際上甚少理會}上來看 英國管理的香港一早己非殖民地

前面說過 49年以後的中國軍隊 能與美國在朝鮮打個平手 將美軍由鴨綠江邊趕回到38線的南面 不難想像如要跟英人硬來 英國是完全守不住香港的  那為何中國不在當年收回香港呢 由於議題敏感  我不說下去了

因為係「簡」史，太簡，所以您唔覺係歷史咯。您對歷史的期待係認為佢要比A brief history of time更加嚴謹，所以我推荐：
