We have raw material:
Gullible mind from uneducated mass, half-ass educated genius.  Or just noble fellow going astray.

We have manual:
Bible, Quran, Torah, you name it.  

We have school for the art:
Theology school, temple, monastary, etc

We have demand:
They wish to be conned into believe heaven after their unpleasant condition!

Con-artist is a good business.  Do they really need to be funded from the outside (althought it will not hurt with a bit of help)

Right now, China has place what economist will call "trade barrier" on the con-artist business.

With inflation and social unrest, I personally think the future of the con-ning sans frontier is as bright as ever.

In business world, Gillet shaver is cheap, but it can make a million.  Italian fashion is interesting, but it has limited earning potential.

IBM don't realize you can only sell so many mainframe.  Microsoft make a fortune when they make PC possible.

Catholic don't realize bigger is not neccessary better while protestant/reformer make a fortune for being small.

For individual con artist, making a little cult in a musical instrument shop has a better return than joining a large coorporation like Roman Catholic.  (assuming he/she is talented in the field like Li Hong Zhi of Fa Lun Gong.)
