    Well, the quick hand answer is, the press release itself actually quite close to what you said - if anything, even this article itself quite generalizes the WHA accusation of the Vatican in general:

Although this Vatican release is written in John Paul II's time, and the WHA release was in 2009.

BTW, it also should be noted that it is not even honest to use *this* article to state the current Vatican stances to begin with because it was written (and not updated) when John Paul II was still the Pope - Benedict makes much worse accusations (and much worse dishonesty) on his statements about condoms than John Paul II. Well, what can you expect, it's a Christian from HK talking on this board.
